Sarah Genung (Michaela) has been dancing tango since 2005 but has been dancing in some capacity since she could walk. Whether it was growing up with ballet, belly dancing in restaurants or capoeira in the streets, dance has always been an essential part of her life, with tango closest to her heart. In addition to her love of social dancing, Sarah has performed with Parasol Arts every year since 2018, placed second in the 2025 Southern California Tango Championship Jack and Jill category, and has been a finalist multiple times in the social categories of the two largest tango competitions in the United States
