Join us this February for an evening of passion, drama, and artistry that transcends boundaries.

Parasol Arts is thrilled to announce the return of its critically acclaimed production, Angels, Devils and Mortals, a stunning fusion of ballet and Argentine Tango, for two performances only on February 13th and 14th, 2025, at the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder.

The production, created and directed by Lorita Travaglia, is a reimagining of the 2017 original, blending breathtaking dance with live music performed by the internationally renowned Atlas Tango Project (formerly the Austin Piazzolla Quintet). This collaboration was recently featured in Dallas, where it captivated audiences during its performance with the Orchestra of New Spain, earning a TACA Pop-Up Grant for its artistic excellence. Angels, Devils and Mortals explores the complexity of human emotions and relationships through two interwoven narratives:

Angels, Devils and Mortals

Praised for its creativity and artistry, a review of the Dallas performance at the Moody Performance Hall highlighted:

“Atlas Tango Project and Parasol Arts captivated us with the beautiful but edgy production of Angels and Devils… a drama told in Tango elevated to remarkable levels by skilled dancers, talented musicians, and the totality of the artistic event. Whether participating or watching, it was a delightful evening immersed in one of the most dramatic and accessible dance genres.”

The vision of Parasol Arts since 2012 has been to combine the great arts of music, literature, fine art and dance through the medium of Argentine Tango. Parasol Arts’ productions vividly portray through the magic and passion of Tango the complexities and emotions of life and its trials, tribulations and joys.

“Parasol Arts is committed to ensuring accessibility for people with disabilities to its programs and events. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.”
