Jonathan Bruneau, originally from Québec, began dancing Tango in 2008 after receiving his master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering as an artistic escape from the confines of the laboratory. As part of his training, he attended numerous Argentine Tango intensives under the direction of Nick Jones, Diana Cruz, John Miller, Gustavo Naveira, and Giselle Anne. He taught Tango at the University of Colorado Boulder for several years and performed on multiple occasions, including in Parasol Arts’ “Carmen the Tango”.
Prior to his discovery of Argentine Tango, he trained and taught Chito-ryū, Gōjū-ryū, and Isshin-ryū karate for 20 years.
