Dana Benton was accepted at the age of 9 to the National Ballet School in Toronto where she trained for eight years. Dana graduated with Honors in Academics and was awarded the Peter Dwyer Award for Excellence in Dance. She spent one year with the Alberta Ballet Company as an Apprentice, and in 2001 joined Colorado Ballet in soloist and principal roles for the subsequent 22 years.
